This Soul

This soul…
The essential being of a person…
It is religious, philosophical….
It is self awareness…
The seat of a person’s innermost emotions and feelings…
It is the vital principle…

Capturing mind and embodied thoughts…
I found a root to hold on too…
Glittering before me, laid one soul to another…
Confessing it’s cravings for a common bond…
Stability while it lingered in purgatory.
Though agile in spirit, it was weakened by a fatal blow.
The love in which it once caressed… Is no longer so…

This soul…
Possibly beaten, battered and bruised…
Considered “de-funked” and left to drown,
Needed nothing more, than unconditional love...
Tireless, tender kisses to awaken it from the grief…
Only wanting to supply the necessities of life,
A foundation of intensive care is necessary for this heartbreak.

I try to be shy…
But the sensitive side of being a cancer springs forth…
I find the need to console this lonely heart...
Maintaining ease, and vindication of a mutual attraction.
We levitate to a higher plain.
Depending on one another…Sustaining the weight of life’s trial and tribulations…

This soul… (The crying)
The essential being of a person… (The stress)
It is religious, philosophical…. (The conscious)
It is all self awareness…
The seat of a person’s innermost emotions and feelings…
It is the vital principle… (The common bond)
